Today I have been learning to hypothesize. I enjoyed learning how much information the cover and blurb on the book can give you. I found it challenging to get it done. Next time I would stay on task.
The cover does encourage me to read the book because of the beautiful illustrations and the blurb on the back gives me a good idea about what I'm reading. I think this book has a fictional feel to it and the setting will mainly be in his house or in the backyard because he is in a wheelchair so he can’t go everywhere by himself (I think) and because the golden monkey is in the backyard. The target audience for this book is mainly primary school kids because it’s not very complex like Harry Potter. There are so many mysteries and books in Harry Potter but this book only has 1. It's not part of a series. You might need to know what the book is about and why it was written.
I hypothesize that since he can’t have a dog Louis tries to tame the golden monkey, but his parents find out and tell him to give him back to the zoo then Golden runs up the tree and doesn’t come down.
Fakalofa Atu James,
ReplyDeleteI agree - the cover does encourage me to read the book because of the beautiful illustrations and the blurb on the back gives me a good idea about what I would be reading.
What type of fiction do you think this book could be? Science fiction? Historical fiction? Maybe something else?
