The Turanga Festiva

 The Turanga Festival is a sacred place where people can feel in sink with the Maori culture. As the performance begins the eager spectators start to stare like statues made with wax and robotic parts. Mics pick up on the slightest sound. spectators start to cheer once and clap their hands off when the performance is over. there's a hint of hot dogs and the smell of chocolate smothered into walls everywhere. There's a beautiful taste of melted choc and a taste of burning hot sauce. I felt like I was being so meaningful that I would explode like a time bomb twitching to its decent

Boom! Crack! Fizz! The most thundering of all fireworks were being set off all down the twisting road of my community. They were glamorous, they spread the beauty all across the night sky. But with a cost, most pets and animals will be crazed like they had had never been before. I felt like jess would die.

When I woke up Jess (our cat) was scampering like a crazed ferret all over the house. All the local pets were acting crazy! One dog had run 2 houses down The street. It was mayhem

It took 20 minutes to calm Jess down and even more for the other pets. And that's why I don’t celebrate Guy Fawkes

  Thank you so much for giving up your time and chaperoning on camp. It's given me, Billy, Aedan, Baxter, and Asher the opportunity to have the best highlight of St Mary's School.

I know it was hard but my favourite moment was slingshot paintball. I really enjoyed when we teamed up on Brent together it was the time of my experience I’ve learnt so much from that experience  

 And that's why I'm so grateful to you for giving up your time for us. you're a saint to me. we’ve had the saint mary's miracle that we were waiting for.

Is It True Artificial Intelligence Will Take Over Our World?

today room 2 was using persuasive techniques to enhance our writing and hook people in

enjoyed self assessment because it made me think deeper about my learning. I found hooking people in very challenging because there is not a lot of WOW! stuff about artificial intelligence. this shurely shows how i'm a smart learner.

Do you think artificial intelligence, aka AI, will take over the world? In this speech I will talk about security, unemployment, and the ways it can be made for good. Artificial intelligence is the 2nd worst problem (after covid 19) happening right now, even if we don't know it, it’s already controlling the human race’s actions. 

Firstly, security is a big problem, do you think it is the biggest? Google, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram all of these are run by artificial intelligence. The second you click on a post there is a record of it and artificial intelligence will know more about you. Soon, it will know every single thing about you. AI can process your time spent on ads and turn it into data. Then, sell it to the company and then the company will pay to make them show more of those ads.

In addition, robot’s will end up doing our everyday jobs. will it be all of

them? There are already robots in our life, vacuum robots, lawn mower robots, and pool cleaning robots. We could be as active as cows!! Moo and they will be more creative then make more and better robots then they will blast us into oblivion, we may be extinct they will make games into work assignments this can’t happen!!

Finally if artificial robots were everywhere they would not need medicine so would we get sick and die? But you can make them do stuff to dangerous for humans, you still do the stuff only you can do especially police they can make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands                        

In conclusion there are only two possible ways to stop it from happening , I have shown three exclusive points on how we wont have any security, jobs or but we can make sure it's not going to be bad, it will always be an option.

RAYS

Rays

Rays are fish even though people think they’re not. They eat shellfish, crabs, and fish. The D.Diptera is the scientific name for a Diamond ray and the Dasyatidae is the name for a Whiptail stingray which has the longest tail for rays. They are very close relatives to sharks but what's funny is they are also relatives with fish. The te Reo name for a stingray is whakaahuru and in French it is Raie. Stingrays have zero bones but what’s crazier is that their scientific name is Batoidea.

A Ray has gills like a fish but when they go down to the seafloor and eat they use something called a spiracle it is behind their eyes it opens and closes to let water in. Their eyes are on the top of their head. When an orca or shark comes near they use something called a barb to sting them and if you get stung you can tell what type of ray did it by looking at the shape of them. An eagle ray is a rhombus and a stingray looks like a kite. Their mouth has no teeth so they suck their food off the seafloor and they leave a hole called a feeding pit. A stingray has a pelvic fin right beside its tail. The biggest stingray is 2.4 meters across and 4.3 long it weighs 318-363 kgs.

Stingrays live in NZ and South Australia in harbors and reefs. They like coastal tropical areas. Also, the best place to find them is in the Hauraki Gulf but diamond round and brown rays live in California. They live for 15-25 years and they have been around since the Jurassic period.

We have 5 senses but stingrays have an extra one called an electro scene, they use electro sensors to do this. Stingrays have poison like a bee in their barb but they don't have a flotation device so they just sink to the seafloor if they stop swimming. They are hunted by Sharks, orca, seals, and sea lions. 

If animals don’t kill them our ecosystem will be ruined because other animals won;t get enough protein and they will die. Don’t be scared of them if you go down Tatapouri they are friendly and are super slimy.

 At saint marys, Turanga health came and taught us how to play rugby to keep us active, fit, and healthy. I got better at line breaking because of my stunning footwork.    

 We worked on passing and catching in the proper way and our accuracy, We also had to work on our footwork. I learned that diving can make tagging them easier.

There are over 70 different species in New Zealand. Giant weta is the largest of them all. They live under rocks and dead bark. Maculifrons are the smallest weta in the world. 

Description

The Giant Weta can weigh 70gs that is the size of an average house sparrow. It has ears on its knees which means 4 ears, imagine living like that. It’s Antena is double the size of it, which is 20cm long. Its legs have spicks on the back of them. they are nocturnal which means it is most active in the dark.

the weta lives at Auckland zoo and 4 islands the main island is Little Barrier Island. they are endangered because of stoats, cats, and possums. The Weta has been around for 90 million years.

Dynamics 

The weta is harmless unless the bite pierces the skin. Only tree weta can jump other species can’t because it’s weight ways it down. they are omnivores (it eats meat and plants). The Weta molts and after it eats the skin that is shed. it is so extraordinary that we have done so much damage it needs to stop. Make a change today

Dark chocolate pancakes oozed down the sides of my mouth  there was sweet food piled to the rim on one table and savery on the other one.  Everyone was stuffed with scrumpchinos food the parents  were acting like they won millionaire hot seat but actually they won our matariki quizzes. I had 2 pancakes a creamy sugary donut 4 cheesy sausages and a  pile of juicy fruit.

The Lost Tribe

Woosh! “It's too chilly River, look for a hidden door. I saw it in a movie once.” Huia yelled over the wild winds. River  dashed everywhere and then he yelled. “Found one.” In front of him was a rusty prehistoric door that was sealed on a rocky doorway. Creeck! in front of them there was a sloppy muddy road. Suddenly, they could see thousands of rangers with metal body armor made of solid steel the sound was deafening then they looked behind them and saw warriors walking towards them from the other side they ran at full throttle at the village on the other side of the rangers. “Few are you ok Huia?”

 “Yes... Ow... No, I stepped on a spear.” 

“Will you be able to continue walking?”

 “Yes.” They stumbled through the old burnt tribe huia and river collected food and water as they passed through and a shady man wrapped in chains beckoned them to have a seat as soon as they sat down They thought it was a mistake. “There are 52 escape copters at the back of the village. If you rig them all apart from 1 I will give you a reward if you don't, well know im hunting you down.” They thought it was wrong but the cruel man had made his point so they went to rig them all when they got there they were shoved into a dark and damp helicopter they struggle through the locals and get to the power system and up the voltage and the helicopter stops and everyone runs into oblivion they keep doing it to all except one and on the last one they see “dad is that you” river gasped “son I am sorry for running away because of our loss of time I will stay with you until you start your own track oh and someone is with me “tua.” Yelled huia. “Ahhh dreams are confusing, they can be seens from the future.” River said, he jumped out of bed. “River wants to go on a trulier.” Tua asked.

lockdown in 2020

 2020 Lockdown

Fizzle! The frying pan was filled to the top with fat sausages that were smelling lovely. It was a sunny morning and there were rays of sunlight coming through the window. Me and Dad knew it was going to be a really good day. We were one day into lockdown and we were already having fun in our dancing house of fun. Ping! “Oh it looks like grandpa and Matthew wants you to come over” “yay” I shouted.

 Bang! Bang! Bang! Someone was banging the door down I thought. Dad went over and opened it “wow social distancing buddy” the mail man said “here's a board game order by Russell is that you” “yep thank you” answered dad. “Yes!! Fallout is here, do you want to play James?” ''sure” I happily replied. I opened it up and started popping the land tokens out. When we started playing we read the rules and got mixed up with the tricky ones. It would take ages to explain because it went on for 2 days. even though it took so long it was fantastic. 

“Hello, are you there”I was about to turn back when...“Hello James, do you want to watch a movie with us? We are going to watch the lego movie 2” but I didn't reply because I was already watching it. “Want to have some ginger beer” “of course” I said crack! Fizz! There you go.

“Dad where are we going” “to play games” he replied “awesome”. We played wizz you throw the ball or whatever over the post and wherever it lands they throw it from there and if it misses you lose. Then legendary you throw the ball (or anything else) and when you get the hardest throw the other person has to call you... Legendary!!

When lockdown ended I was relieved that I finally will have a normal life now or was it going.  to be normal?
