Poetry Slam Summer Learning Journey Tahi

Today I have been learning about what Poetry Slams are, what poets are, and what makes a good poem. I really enjoined the general concept of the task and really how much effort I can see went into it. Next time I think I might want to make the slides my own with heaps of different images and backgrounds on each slide. We had to listen to the 4  poetry slams by Solli Raphael, Marina Alefosio, Daisy Lavea-Timo, and Joshua Losefo. Then create a slide deck showing what I think makes a good poem slam and what things I enjoy about summer that I might include in a poem.

Wow, you have put a lot of effort into this blog post!

Your third slide goes into some incredible detail about what makes a good poetry slam! Ka pai for that, James!

Out of the four poetry slams you listened to, which one was you favourite? By the way, great work linking them into your post!

Do you think you will want to write a poem and perform it as a slam? I’d love to see what you can come up with!

Keep up with your amazing learning!

    Ngā mihi,
    Charlotte :)
