Then create a slide deck showing what I think makes a good poem slam and what things I enjoy about summer that I might include in a poem.

Come Down Golden Hypothisis

 Today I have been learning to hypothesize. I enjoyed learning how much information the cover and blurb on the book can give you. I found it challenging to get it done. Next time I would stay on task.

The cover does encourage me to read the book because of the beautiful illustrations and the blurb on the back gives me a good idea about what I'm reading. I think this book has a fictional feel to it and the setting will mainly be in his house or in the backyard because he is in a wheelchair so he can’t go everywhere by himself (I think) and because the golden monkey is in the backyard. The target audience for this book is mainly primary school kids because it’s not very complex like Harry Potter. There are so many mysteries and books in Harry Potter but this book only has 1. It's not part of a series. You might need to know what the book is about and why it was written.

I hypothesize that since he can’t have a dog Louis tries to tame the golden monkey, but his parents find out and tell him to give him back to the zoo then Golden runs up the tree and doesn’t come down.

Zombie! Apocalyptic! Apocalypse!

 This week we have had a Zombie Apocalypse! We created a guide if it ever happens. I enjoyed everything. Next time I would be more truthful at infected.

Is Mr. Wolf Gulity

Is Mr. Wolf Guilty of First Degree Murder?

I strongly believe that Mr. Wolf is not guilty. He Should not be charged with crimes! Red riding hood’s grandma is not the nice person you would expect. She is rude and immature. Through this piece of speech, I will tell you 3 reasons why Mr. Wolf is not guilty.

Firstly, It’s a wolf's instinct to hunt and kill for food. Have you ever seen a wild wolf kill other animals? We kill animals for food as well but we only care when it's our kind being killed. They have a life so they just experience it in a different way. He also did not get to eat, he just got killed and he was not meant to be executed.

Secondly, Grandma wasn't killed. The woodchopper chopped grandma out of the cupboard. Grandma wasn’t killed so it isn't murder it has to be attempted murder and what signs show he actually did swallow her in the story she was in the cupboard.

Thirdly, You never interviewed or heard Mr. Wolf's story. Do you even know his intentions? In the story he stalks her but he said he was keeping an eye on her because of the dangers in the wood. When he got to grandma's house she did not let him in when she didn't know who he was. So he helped her by not being yelled at.

Finally, He is innocent and probably is in heaven right now. These 3 reasons explain why I know Mr. Wolf is not guilty. He Should not be charged with the crimes of 1st-degree murder.

Online Writing Book

 Today I was learning to summarize. I enjoyed watching the video. I found it challenging not to do them all. next time I will only do 1-2.

Compost

 Today I was learning to structure my writing. I had to have a title, have a hook state what I am going to write about, write the subheading use the keywords to write, re-read my sentences to make sure they make sense start a new paragraph/subtitle do the same for all parts of my plan hare my own reflection / personal thoughts about the topic or use a WOW, fact.

Composting

Did you know that you can recycle plants?! Well, now you do, it’s called compost. Composting is an easy way to turn waste into useful material. It is also composting when you turn plants into compost. Compost can help other plants grow.

How is it made?

Compost is made by layering green and brown scraps in a wooden, metal, or plastic bin with holes in it. Good things put in the compost are vegetable peelings, fruit waste, teabags, plant prunings, and grass cuttings. Make sure not to put any Meat, Bones, Fish, Fats, or Dairy in your compost bin because it may overheat the compost making it smell and attract animals. Use a brown layer before the green and make the brown 2x the amount of the green.

What are the benefits of composting?

If you follow those rules over time you will get compost. Compost can be used as manure. It benefits the environment because instead of wasting food, it can turn into more food.

Conclusion

Compost can reduce waste and use it for a cause.

Composting is a great way to clean up and filter the earth.

Compost is a drought buster made entirely out of plants. Anyone can make compost.

Birthdate: 7 January 1997

Birth location: Te Anau

Dylan Schmidt’s parents are Andy Schmidt (father) and Jen Schmidt (mother). They gave birth to 3 kids, Rachel Schmidt, Cullum Schmidt, and Dylan Schmidt. Rachel and Cullum were both trampolinists which is what inspired Dylan at the age of 5. He grew up in Auckland and went to King’s and Waihi College.

A trampolinist does a series of bounces, twists, and summersults.7 In order to win points that judes from all around the world award.

Dylan Schmidt has won these awards and records from trampolining. He came 3rd in Tokyo 2020, 7th in Rio 2016, 1st in the Youth Olympics Nanjing 2014, 2nd Sydney 2013, and he was named the 2014 college sports man of the year. Those are really hard awards to win.

As well as winning those awards he was the first New Zealander to enter the olympics for trampolining. With the help from Icon Trampoline club and his coach Angie Dougal.

He had a knee surgery in march 2018 and had a training injury soon after. His hobbies are being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and golf.

Dylan Schmidt has entered all olympics possible.

How do Stingrays Sense Electricity

     This week I have been learning to use complex senteses I had to use a phrase that could be put somewhere else in the sentence and use a comma before or after the phrase.

I ound it challenging to use my time wisly becuase yesterday I had a netball tournament.

Next time I would ask for help becuase I did'nt know what to do.

A stingray is actually one of the most commonly found fish to this day, even though it may not look like one. Fun Fact! A Stingray's scientific name is myliobatoidei, also they live on a diet of fish smaller than themselves (they are carnivores).

Where can you find Stingrays? Stingrays are most commonly found in the coastal waters of the pacific, atlantic, and indian oceans.

How do stingrays scene electricity? A stingray is fitted with multiple ampullane. Ampullane scense  the charges from their prey. They are located around their mouths. Their jaws are key because if stingrays did not have them they wouldn't be able to eat clams. If a shark came over they would use their barbed tails to inject painful poison.

Stingrays are afraid of humans because we stand on them when they camouflage into the ground. Stingrays must be saved and not overlooked.

 This week I was learning to infer.

I found it challenging to create a name for mine and Jakob A's Half Blood because I wanted to be original.

The Great Kiwi Bookathon

 This month I have been fundraising towards NZ Blind and Low Vision.

I have been enjoying the great reading time it has been giving me because I tend to get angry but reading calms me down.

I have found it challenging to spread the word and get donations from across New Zealand because I have been really lazy over the past few weeks and just lying in bed all day and not asking my neighbors, teachers, friends, fammily, and whanau.

Next time I get involved in somthing simmilar I will get the word out faster because then I will be able to fundraise more for our community.

I enjoyed researching about how different countries celebrate Fathers day because it was very intresting how they are so diffferent but the same.

I found it challenging to take my screencastify in a safe and quiet space because some people in my class were yelling and screaming.

Next time I would diplay my learning in a doc and not a video because it was challenging to have no background noise.

This week I have been learning how to draw pixel art useing a website called piskel.   

I really enjoyed exploring all the tools that piskel gave us to use because our whole class was learning how to use it.

I found it challenging to blend and shade using liter and daker colors becuse when I tryed it turned out worse than before.

Next time I would change the charcter and theme of my pixel art becuse I felt like I should add more imagination into it.

Gaming Consoles From The Past, The Present And The Future

 This week I was learning how to analyse and synthesize. What that means is to read multiple books and articals then take small bits of infomation from each book or artical to make 1 big bit of infomation. I found it challenging to reserch the timeline of consoles becuse there were 10 consoles to research about. My digital learning object shows I can multimanage and stay on task for long periods of time because all those things are key to getting work done on time. Next time I would change and add more of an infomational description because I did'int tell you what any of the consoles like.

The first gaming console was created by Nolan Bushnell it was called Atari 2006 (a-tar-ri). Then he invented the Atari 5200. Next the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) came out in the year 1985 by a japanese designer called Uemura Masayuki. Five years later the Sega Genesis MegaDrive was made in 1985 by Hideki Sato and a console war started between Sega and Nintendo, Sega won but Nintendo came back later in the year 2017 but that is way out of the timeline. What really made Nintendo come back was the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) it got released in 1990 and overthrew the Sega Genesis MegaDrive which put Sega out of the running. But Ken Kutaragi really made an electric zap for 1995 gamers with the PS1. They made the buzz about it by taking it to the world stage to advertise. A Nintendo designer called Shigeru Miyamota planned a Nintendo console to compete with PlayStation and Sega they called it the Nintendo 64 (N64). A little later Kenichiro Yoshida made a plan for the PS2!! It was the best selling game console for 18 years and was about $473 and was one of the best disc consoles back in 2000. 2006 was a gaming year mostly because it was when the xbox series set off with the xbox 360 but instantly reacted there rival PlayStation with a new console the PS3 but the only problem was price it was first sold for $1200 🤯🤑🤑🤑 that is why to this day xbox and PlayStation are in a headlock. Newer models will be known like xbox S1 and PS4 and 5. I have made a prediction about what consoles will look like and do here it is. (You propberly should turn you brightness up.)

Jesus Ascending Up To Hevan

 Today I was learning about how Jesus ascended up to heaven. I learnt that when he was about to leave he told his decipels that he would never truly leave them. After he told them to spread the news about God. I enjoyed creating the charcters in this scene because it made me put extra efort int0 my creation. I found it challenging to find, not just any quote but the best quote, because there were 100 to chose from. My digital learning object shows that I can use my own images to make somthing enjoyable. Next time I would change the shapes I used in my scene so it could look a little different.

Past Present Future

 Today I was learning to use safe images labbled for reuse. I enjoyed learning what year the nintendo was created because we had just gone to the museum and seen what it look like. I found it challenging to find a quiet spot for my mote because every one was talking. My digital object shows I can use images labbled for reuse beacuse they are all through my progect. Next time I would change the last slide to show somthing diffrint because not many people want to see how boats have changed over the years. 

Museum Of Technology

 Today I was learning about olden day technology because this term our learning focus is the past present and future. I learnt about the diffrent types of comuters and console's in the 1900's. Down below there is a picture of an old Nintendo Console looks like. I enjoyed pretending to game on the diffrent console's there and pretending to be in an office becuse it was like Technology Hevean. I Found it challenging to answer the quistion about the technology that I see becuse there was like 21 quistion's all on diffrent pages. Next time I would pay more atention to my suroundings so I could answer the quistions more accuratly.

BEE BOT Coding

 Today we were learning to use North, East, South and West dirctions and clockwise and anti clockwise turns to code a simple BEE BOT.

I enjoyed creating this video with Jakob A to show you what BEE BOTS are like becuse he videoed it perfecly.

I found it challenging to not get carried away becuse I was leaving everyone behind

Signing For Begginers

 This week I've been learning to analyze and sinthisize.

I enjoyed teaching people how to sign becuse it showed I learnt how to sign.

I found it challenging to find a nice and quiet space becuse all the sensible places were taken.

Next time I would keep the ones I messed up on so you can see my learning better 

The Hole

 This week i've been learning how to hook the reader in. I aimed to use onomatopoeia (sound), dialouge (talking), short, sharp sentences and to describe the setting ( adjectives, similes and metaphors).

I enjoyed peer assesing with my mate Jakob A becuse we are BFFS.

I found it challenging to stay on task becuse we kept being interupted by people talking about tic tok. 

Next time I would add more onomatopoeia to my writing.

Remember I did'int need to write the whole story I just needed to write the hook.

Did I hook you in?

My hollering screams drowned everything else out. Blood red pools like squished raspberries formed around me and blood oozed out my forehead. The outcome was chaos. The horrified caregivers were stunned. Tyres screeched outside. I felt costly pain all over. My head nearly killed me!

The thing that really touched my heart was the amount of people that lost there lives becuse all those risked there lives for us.

I found it challenging to make a description from me but in somone elses perspective becuse i did'int do it they did it.

Next time I would change the background and theme becuse it wasent loud and proud.

Dear Diary

Today the battle was horrific. I got a sickness called Trench Foot. It's caused when you walk through mud many times your feet turn grey and soggy. We lost 3500 men. All my friends died by a bullet to the head, we barely won the battle and escaped with many broken bones, the food is THE WORST IN THE WORLD.

Womans Native Tree Nursery Visit

 Today I Visited the Womans Native Tree Nursery to learn about how to collect seeds, collect cuttings, plant trees, grow trees and how to identify types of trees.

I enjoyed destoying a not native tree becuse I smashed 2 huge branches.

I found it challenging to listin to instructions becuse there was so mutch to distract me.

 This week I have been learning how to summarise.

I enjoyed collecting and displaying my data because I learnt a lot about Scotland.

I found it challenging to get it all done on time but I just made it because I worked this hard as possible.

Next time I would change the colour of my background because it took your eyes away from the words.

I enjoyed playing capture the flag during our activities rotation because it was very tactical and made me use others.

I found it challenging to look after my belongings because there was so much to look after.

 This is my reflection of the month of March.

The Story Of Easter

This week for reading and writing we were learning to sumerise\ make links in our paragraphs.

I enjoyed reading out my findings on the internet because it challenged me to use my senses.

I found it challenging to combind my videos because the first time it said it took us to long wich was so anyoing.

My digital object shows that I can create WeVideos because I made an easy to understand WeVideo. 

Next time I would change the color of my characters becuse it was not my work.

Extraordinary Tornadoes

 This week for reading i've been learning to make connections between what I read.

I enjoyed animating my images because it make my facts more eye catching.

I found it challenging to use bright colors and also make it readable because the colors I wanted were red and yellow but it makes the writing hard to read.

Next time I would change how I displayed my facts because most people put it on only 1 slide.  

                   

The Story of Young Nick's Head

Today I was learning to blend and use motion in my art.

I enjoyed experimenting with other colours to make colours we did'int have because we already have a experimenting workshop. 

I found it challenging to use the photos and taken throughout my artwork and use them to make a slideshow because the camera app updated so all my photos deleted themselves.

 My digital learning object shows my digital learning object shows that I can think on my feet because I had to use my creativity to make a different slideshow to others.

Next time I would change the colour of my backgrounds because they dragged your attention away from the words.

The story behind Young Nick's head is that when Kiwa and Paoa arrived on the Horouta Waka Paoa thought it looked quite like his dog so he named it Te Kuri A Paoa (The dog of Paoa). It was only ever called young Nick's head when Captain Cook spotted land over Nick's head.

My Learning Academics

 Today I was learning how to set my own goals.

I enjoyed learning what learning hero I need to look up to because their traits were very interesting.

I found it challenging to do my social goal because there's a lot I need to work on. 

Next time I would change my disposition and academic goals to reading because that's the next thing I need to work on.

Optical illusion Strikes Again

 This week I have been learning to make connections between what I read.

I enjoyed making my 2nd illusion into a quiz because I liked how I made it unique.

I found it challenging to remove the background of the Emirates Team New Zealand America's Cup boat because it keeps not going into my downloads.

My digital object shows I can remove the background of my images.

Next time I would change my methods because it wasn't part of the task. 

The air where the boat floats is cold and the air above the boat is warm. The way it works is that it tricks your eye to make it look like it is floating this is called a superior mirage.

My Favourite Sport

Today I was learning to use mote witch is an audio creator.

I enjoyed displaying my mote, information, and images because I wanted to make my learning flashy. 

I found it challenging to describe my favorite sport really well because there isn't much to say about why I like soccer.

My digital object shows I can use mote well while being sensible at the same time because everything on my slide was appropriate.

Next time I could change the background of my 2nd slide because it wasn't good compared to my title slide.
